Once you have determined that registration is required, you will need to complete the provider EYO application online. This application requires a considerable amount of information regarding your club's legal status and operations, as well as details about the premises, staff, and safeguarding measures.
All staff must be fully licensed and have undergone background checks before your club opens its doors to the public, ensuring the safety and security of the children. Strong processes are crucial, grounded in good health and child protection standards. Additionally, it is essential to develop a comprehensive list of health and safety protocols and emergency procedures. The ratio of one adult to every eight children under the age of eight must be upheld.
There should be a staff member with primary responsibility for child protection and someone onsite possessing a paediatric first-aid certificate.
As part of the registration process, the registered manager and any nominated individuals involved in the day-to-day operations of the establishment will be required to complete the EY2 form.
